With this firmware update no matter which other ISPs router you get supplied with upon sign up you will most likely have the same issues anyways but the way to fix it is to just setup fixed dhcp assignments in the router or alternative manual assignments and dropping the dhcp address range in your router which you should be doing if you want to reuse old routers as switchers/ wifi access points and set them to different ip addresses that don't conflict as they generally don't support dhcp assignment (fortunately the optus router can also do that).
